Tales of the Booga Dooga Land - Pickwick's Plan
This is the little Preview of my book - do read it and scroll down and don't forget to answer the 5 feedback questions - I will be thrilled to read feedback from all my friends and family!
story teller: The Story Of the Last Prisoner Of War
This link was sent to me by Mrs Rita Chauhan (then Rita Panwar) who taught me in school when I was in Class 9. Now 41 years have passed and she still keeps in touch with the naughtiest of her students - me!
Read this story - it deserves to be read and that is a tribute to "Joe" who was an Indian Army taken prisoner by the Pakistan army and incarcerated there!

Tales of the Booga Dooga Land - Pickwick's Plan - My first Childrens Book
I am now well on the way of getting the first of my Children's Books published which is a relief to my friends and family since they were quite certain that I had become a slacker as soon as I left my bank ha ha
Well, I had been a slacker for the first 6-7 months and really enjoyed being one. Now the Illustrator - a very talented young art student from Serbia has been awarded the contract and the images are now being made - one is on the link too though it is still under revision - so hope to have it on Amazon and Createspace Bookshelfs by June end. I hope you all buy some copies - I think you will like them. Once again, the link to the Preview of the Book is :-

I have also pasted it on my facebook page - my ID there is only demoninlove@yahoo.com - so check it out there too and remember to write a very nice flattering and encouraging comment too so that I can get the inspiration to become even more foolhardy than I am at this time ..heee hee hee

MICHELLE AND ABHISHEK GOT MARRIED TODAY - 11 MAY 2012
MICHELLE AND ABHISHEK GOT MARRIED TODAY - 11 MAY 2012
I attended their wedding at the Centenary Memorial Methodist Church today and time stood still - no it rolled back 35-40 years - for starters - James Rodney Hersey was there - 87 years old and still looking a very sprightly 50-60! The full complement of the Grays were there with Phyllys John and both the daughters Barbara and Jenny and their husbands and children - such an incredible thing meeting them after all these decades! I posted the card and left for the reception at Dwarka with Abha, who missed the wedding because she had to attend a high level meeting or something at the bank - but she met a lot of of people there.
And the reception in Dwarka was a very very nice affair - lots or really excellent food and lots of dancing and fun too.
I am not uploading photos one by one and hope someone will comment and fill in the names of every one - there were lots of relatives and children I did not know - remember we met after over 30 years.
Will be back to post more here and lots and lots of photos

The Asteroid that Flattened Mars
This is one of the most pragmatic and thrilling video films about Mars that I have seen ever since I started searching for information about the red planet - Mars. The narration is clear and lucid and designed for every one to understand without any technical jargon to confuse people who do not have a technical science background or exposure to such an environment. Do spend some time to see the video and hear this wonderful narration with your speakers on. You will remember it always as most memorable.

Since you all are normal - I just had to post this link here
I finally found an article written by Serena on her visit to LA this month to cover the release of "The Avengers".

‘I’m just an Eastern philosophy kind of guy’ 1
Captain America Chris Evans spent three weeks in Rishikesh in 2005-06, but is working so hard that he can’t return
The brain is a noisy place and all this is just to quiet it down. It’s certainly helpful
to me while I’m on sets
—Actor Chris Evans
Actor Chris Evans currently sports short dark hair, a promising beard and a Zen-like state of mind. Nothing like the buffed-up look he fashioned onscreen at the premiere of his upcoming biggie, The Avengers, which took place at the El Capitan theatre in LA on Wednesday. “I am a hat, beard, sunglasses kind of guy, but little kids are so good. They’ll just spot you in a crowd… that’s Captain America!” jokes Evans, who reprises his part as the superhero in Joss Whedon’s multi-cast film this April 27.
Most Hollywood actors have little to say when asked about India. In Evans’s case, there was no ‘I like Bollywood for its song and dance’ or ‘I’m coming to the country to see the Taj Mahal soon’ kind of answer. He knows absolutely nothing about the Hindi film industry. But during the course of the conversation, it became evident that he seemed to have a more spiritual connection in place. “I spent three weeks in Rishikesh in 2005 or 2006 at a Buddhist retreat. I attend a Buddhism class here in LA and the woman who teaches had trained there. So we all went and stayed in this little village for about three weeks, hiked the Himalayas, camped on the banks of the Ganga… it was great,” says Evans, who has been missing this annual trip with his group due to his film commitments. “And that really sucks!” he says.
At the age of 16 or 17, Evans began reading up and speaking to people about the philosophy, only to realise his calling. “There was a whole religion that felt the way I was feeling. That’s when I thought, ‘Wow, I think I’m a Buddhist’. But even in India you realise that Buddhism, Daoism and Hinduism are very similar. It’s just the dogma that separates these religions. And I’m not going to get caught up in that. I’m just more of an Eastern philosophy kind of guy,” says the actor, adding that, “The brain is a noisy place and all this is just to quiet it down. It’s certainly helpful to me while I’m on the sets.” >> ‘I almost didn't do Captain America’ P 8

Deepak Menon's Photos | Facebook
I thought that I would post my facebook page here - a fabulous article by my daughter Serena, about the missing "Old Monk" which is on the Face book too and was her weekly article on her column of the HindustanTimes, got me introspecting and I came to the conclusion that --
1. There are only very few essentials needed, to make life heavenly on Earth and
2. The old sayings have to change with the times - so my conclusion about Like Father - like ... son - have undergone a sea change
Now go and have a tot of "Old Monk Rum" and get back to read the articles and the facebook posts.
Hic ... Cheers at 3.15 PM in the afternoon here ..
