Did I hear you say “destiny” my dear Deepak? Hardly! I have to disagree. Unless you mean to say that man holds destiny over all living things on this planet. Because it is man that drives the weather, pushes wild animals out of their habitat by deforestation. Causes starvation to Polar Bears by sea ice melting due to fossil fuel burning. Rhinos are almost extinct, killing them mercilessly or their “magical” horn, which has the same nutritional value as your fingernail. Or the insane notion that lions and tiger’ sex organs make men viral. Not to forget “trophy hunting” killing for the sport, for monetary profit and simple greed.
This is not destiny my dear friend – this is willful destruction and only man is to blame. The only way to stop this preposterous action against nature is to hold individuals who have no respect for nature criminally responsible.
Smiles and gives you a hug because I’m not angry at you but I needed to say how I honestly feel.

Trudi, did you know that you are terrific when something irks you or gets your hackles up! And I know that you can never be angry with me, so banish the thought! And yes I did say it is our destiny - to save the world as we know it, from the ravages of mans savaging the environment with undiminished destruction of our forests, pollution of the atmosphere, the deliberate withholding of funds from the absolutely essential need to curb emissions from polluting factories and vehicles, to ensure that each nation contributes more to reduce the green house effect than the amount it spends on increasing it and of course takes complete and concrete action to stop forthwith the crimes against our flora and fauna as you have written in your comment (albeit with suppressed fury brimming out of your eyes) - and again I say - it is our destiny to stop all these evils and save our precious mother earth!
By our does not mean that we can make any significant difference individually. It implies that each one of us does our utmost to bring more and more people into the "save our environment" group of few people. To do that we have to set an example ourselves, and a publicly visible example - maybe an event like "tree plantation in deforested areas" starting with a small core group every week on a sunday, with a commitment from each person to bring along another the next week with the same commitment. But then comes the thought - who will coordinate it? Shall we plan something, Trudi? I will think about it and try to send you a plan - and actual plan by mail in a week or so - lets give it a go and set an example. I have to admit with a hanging head that I am one of the people who are very vociferous about saving the earth and our environment - but have done scant little for it. so that Hug you sent was needed badly to get rid of a guilt complex I just developed ... sigh!
And here is my return hug for a wonderful Lady!
